When you transfer us your holding deposit/ rent, as required by the TPO, we keep this money in a separate “Client” account & are required to hold professional indemnity Insurance for £250,000. When moving into your property, your holding deposit is paid by us into the Government run Tenancy Deposit Scheme www.depositprotection.com if we are managing the property. If the Landlord is managing the property, we transfer the deposit to them and they must transfer it, into the same TDS scheme within the required timescale of the Scheme. The deposit scheme then email you your ID number and confirm the money has been paid into the scheme, who then act as stakeholder for the duration of your tenancy in the property. We adhere to the requirements of the TPO as stated above including independent redress. We are proud members of a Client Money Protection scheme (CMP). |
